This Weekend in Somerville: Burlesque, Puppets and Produce
Some things to do in and around Somerville this weekend.

If you're staying in Somerville this Labor Day weekend, here are some things to do in and around town.
Boston Babydolls Burlesque Presents: Boston Loves Dixie!
The burlesque troupe pays tribute to Dixie Evans, "the beloved Godmother of the new burlesque movement," according to the listing. The performance is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Davis Square Theatre.
Union Square Farmers Market
It's the height of the local New England harvest season, so you'll want to take advantage by getting some fresh produce at the Union Square farmers market on Saturday. The market is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in, you guessed it, Union Square.
ähts: The Boston Arts Festival
The Boston Arts Festival features 54 visual and crafts artists, 15 performers, 8 interactive art experiences and temporary installations. Named "ähts," the festival takes place Saturday and Sunday at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park near the North End.
The Total This and That Circus
If you're into political puppetry, such as characters depicting "daffodil combat forces battling F-35s" and "underprivileged Corporate Dwarves, overshadowed by Ordinary 99% Giants promoting brand-new economy-shrinking ventures," check out the Bread & Puppet Theatre's performance in Cambridge on Sunday. It celebrates the Vermont-based political puppetry troupe's 50th anniversary, and it's at 3 p.m. on Cambridge Common.
