Yakitori Totto Opens At Somerville's Assembly Row

The New York-based Japanese restaurant, once endorsed by Anthony Bourdain, brought another location to the shopping and dining complex.

SOMERVILLE, MA — A New York-based Japanese restaurant that counts late chef and television host Anthony Bourdain among its admirers has opened a location at Assembly Row.

Yakitori Totto is well-known in the New York food scene and was featured on America's Best Bites. Its Somerville outpost is listed as being under a "grand opening" on its website, and Boston Restaurant Talk reported the restaurant has officially opened.

Yakitori Totto is known for its meat and vegetable skewers. And if you want to eat like Bourdain, you should try the Skin, which he called "crunchy and delicious," according to the restaurant's website.
