$1 Million Scratch Ticket Sold At Sudbury Store

The winning ticket was purchased at Sudbury Sundries, 100 Boston Post Road, in Sudbury. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

SUDBURY, MA—After purchasing a scratch ticket at a Sudbury convenience store, a Hanover resident it $1 million richer (minus taxes) after hitting a jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery.

David Spillane, trustee of the Trust of Hanover, claimed the first $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s newest edition of the popular “50X” $5 instant game.

The trust, represented Spillane, chose the cash option on this prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings).
