MA Boy, 10, Injured In Dirt Bike Collision With Vehicle

The collision happened Tuesday afternoon at Crow Island Airpark. The boy was flown to a Worcester hospital in a helicopter.

STOW, MA — A 10-year-old boy was injured Tuesday when he collided head-on with a driver at Crow Island Airpark along the Assabet River.

The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. along a perimeter road. The boy came around a blind corner and collided with the oncoming driver and vehicle, Stow police and fire officials said.

"The victim was flown by medical helicopter to a Worcester hospital for treatment of serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening," the town officials said in a news release.

The vehicle driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. Stow police and state Environmental police were jointly investigating what led to the collision.
