Boston Skating Club Part Of Live Tribute For D.C. Plane Crash Victims

Following the tragic loss of 67 passengers, including six from The Skating Club of Boston, U.S. Figure Skating will hold a live tribute.

MASSACHUSETTS - U.S. Figure Skating announced Wednesday they will host a live figure skating tribute in downtown Washington D.C. on Sunday, March 2, in honor of the victims of the D.C. plane collision, six of which were members of The Skating Club of Boston.

Jinna and Jin Han, Spencer and Christine Lane, Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova were the members of The Skating Club of Boston who tragically lost their lives last week when an American Airlines passenger jet collided with a military helicopter. All 67 people on board both aircraft were confirmed dead.

In addition to the many online fundraisers and vigils that have been held, Capital One Arena in D.C. will host a live figure skating tribute. The full list of Olympian and world champion skaters participating in the event can be found here.

The tribute, dubbed "Legacy on Ice," will see all its proceeds distributed equally to the U.S. Figure Skating Family Support Fund, Greater Washington Community Foundation's "DCA Together Relief Fund" and DC Fire & EMS Foundation.

The Skating Club of Boston will join several other organizations, including Washington's pro sports teams such as the Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, Nationals and Commanders.
