Marlborough Man Arrested in Sudbury on License Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on Dec. 5 resulted in the arrest of a Marlborough resident.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol on Boston Post Road pulled over a motorist at about 7:50 p.m. after conducting a search of the vehicle's plate on the cruiser's computer system.

After an investigation was completed, Orlando DaSilva Cunha, 31, of 88 Boston Post Road, was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Cunha was released at 11:11 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Dec. 6.

In other police news from Dec. 5:

  • Peakham Road was closed after a one-car accident just after 4 p.m. According to Grady, a motorist drove off the road and struck a utility pole. The road was closed until NSTAR could inspect the safety of the pole. No injuries were reported.
  • Officers responded to North Road at about 7:17 p.m. for a report of a car off the road. Grady said the motorist struck a mailbox. The car was towed but no injuries were reported.
