SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury's annual town forum event is cemented for October, with this year's theme focusing on civic engagement.

The Oct. 12 forum will feature town officials — including Town Manager Andy Sheehan and Select Board Vice Chair Lisa Kouchakdjian — talking to residents about voting and volunteerism.

"Sudbury draws its strength from our exceptional residents who volunteer their time, energy and expertise serving on town boards/committees, voting at Town Meetings and elections and so much more. Learn about voting and volunteerism in Sudbury and the ways you can get involved," the town said in a bulletin this week.

Like many local towns, Sudbury relies on volunteers to serve on boards and commissions that oversee everything from diversity and inclusion to zoning. There are almost always openings to volunteer on those boards.

The forum will be held at town hall, but will also feature a virtual option for residents to attend.
