Sudbury Mexican Restaurant Expanding Into Pizza
The Hudson Road Mexican restaurant said in a social media post that it's working to open a Neopolitan-style pizza spot.
SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury may be getting its first Neopolitan pizza restaurant, brought to you by another local restaurant that specializes in a completely opposite style of cuisine.
Sudbury's Sobre Mesa restaurant recently published a cryptic social media post hinting that it's working on opening a restaurant called Sul Tavolo.
"We’ve been working hard upstairs — are y’all ready for @sultavolo.pizza ?!" the Aug. 22 post said.

A Google of Sul Tavolo brings you to a restaurant website at the same address as Sobre Mesa — the plaza at 29 Hudson Road — featuring a short menu with a variety of Neopolitan-stye pizzas, pasta dishes, appetizers and Italian classics like chicken Parmesan.
The Sul Tavolo website also shares a web address with 29 Rustic Mediterranean, an Italian restaurant linked to Sobre Mesa that closed its 29 Hudson Road location late 2020. A social media post announcing the closing said the restaurant would return.

A message sent to Sobre Mesa through the restaurant's website inquiring about Sul Tavolo was not immediately returned.
