Sudbury School Committee Seeking New Member

It would be a temporary appointment, effective until the seat is filled at the next Town Election.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury's Select Board is looking for a new member to fill a vacant seat on the Sudbury School Committee.

The seat was left vacant by a resignation. School committee members are elected, so this would be a temporary appointment, effective until the seat is filled at the next Town Election.

Residents interested in serving are asked to apply through this Appointment Application form by noon on Dec. 3.

The School Committee, which consists of five members, has the power to establish educational goals and policies for schools in the district, review and approve public education budgets, and select, evaluate, and terminate the Superintendent.

The committee typically meets twice per month during the academic year and once each in July and August.
