Sudbury Trick or Treating Postponed to Nov. 2

The following information is from the Sudbury Police Dept.:

Good afternoon. This is Lt. Scott Nix with a Sudbury Public Safety Update on storm recovery for the town, including information on trick or treating and brush drop off. All the following information is available on the town’s website.

1. Trick or treating is being delayed until Friday, Nov. 2. The Sudbury Police Department did so out of concern for the safety of children and families. Hazards from downed trees and wires are just too widespread for all the debris to be cleaned up by Wednesday.

2. A brush drop off site has been established where residents only (NOT Contractors) may bring brush to the Town owned borrow pit, also known as the gravel pit, at 80 North Road. This is located on Rte. 117 near the Concord/Sudbury town line. This temporary brush drop off site is for brush only (no trash or other waste) and will be open beginning Monday, Nov. 5 and
staying open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Nov. 17 except Veterans Day.

3. Charging stations. The Goodnow Library will be open regular hours, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Extra power strips have been set up there. Additionally the shelter at the Fairbank Community Center Shelter will continue to be open until Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 8 a.m.
