Allergy Sufferers Beware: Pollen Counts Expected to Spike Late This Week
The higher temperatures and lower dewpoints mean some difficult days ahead for allergy sufferers in Swampscott and throughout the state.

It may be summer, but unfortunately that doesn’t mean it’s not allergy season. Along with high temperatures this week, pollen levels have been in the medium-high range this week and are expected to skyrocket on Friday. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, allergy sufferers.
The amount of pollen in the air Wednesday was in the medium-high range at 8.8, according to Pollen.com. The increase this week has been due to higher temperatures and the lower dewpoint.
Predominant pollens right now are nettles, grasses and ragweed.
