Free Swampscott Post-9/11 Veterans Breakfast Set For Sept. 11
Veterans who have served since the 9/11 terrorist attacks are encouraged to attend to learn more about available benefits.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — North Shore veterans who served following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 are invited to attend a free breakfast in Swampscott to learn more about available benefits.
The E. F. Gilmore Disabled America Veterans will host the event at the Swampscott Senior Center on Essex Street at 8:30 a.m.
In addition to food, drink and good company we will have information on the recently passed Massachusetts HERO ACT and Federal PACT ACT.

These two bills greatly increased the benefits for Post 9/11 veterans, according to Jeffrey Blonder, Commander of the E. F. Gilmore DAV.
"There are still veterans who do not understand all the benefits that they are entitled to," Blonder said. "We will have officials available to assist veterans in filing claims for VA benefits."

There is no cost to attend the breakfast but RSVP must be made by calling Blonder at 617-967-6892 by Sept. 8.
