Open Doors, Injured Animals and a Possibly Intoxicated Couple with a Child

Here's the latest from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Friday, Aug. 7

At 1 a.m., an officer came upon an open door at Jos. A. Bank with an alarm tripped. A walk-through appeared to show everything secure.

At 1:31 a.m., an officer came upon an unsecure door at the former Aikia Steahouse. The officer secured it.

At 5:04 a.m., a verbal argument resulted in a laceration to a person’s foot.

At 1:35 p.m., a mother and son came into the lobby of the police station to inquire about a flier posted in the Marblehead Police Department lobby that features a photo of the son.

At 3:29 p.m., an injured bird was reported.

At 5:23 p.m., a caller reported a couple who appeared to be intoxicated and had a young child with them on Fisherman’s Beach. Officers spoke with the couple; the caller’s concerns were unfounded.
