Swampscott Police Find Stash Of Amazon Packages

Swampscott police say they have "at least 15 packages" that were found in a trash barrel Monday night.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Wondering why that package from Amazon hasn;t arrived yet? It may very well be at the Swampscott Police Station. Police say they found "at least 15" undelivered packages in a trash barrel Monday night. Residents who think their package may be one of the ones that was recovered should call the department at 781-595-1111.

Police said they have contacted Amazon to report the find. The Swampscott packages were found a groundskeeper at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington came across a stash of packages sent from Amazon in one of the cemetery's trash bins. In Burlington, police said they would deliver the packages to residents.
