Too Hot For Goodwill Donations

The heat has taken its toll on the Goodwill Donation Center at the Stop and Shop on Paradise Road.

Due to the high temperatures, the attended donation center has been closed for the day. The organization expects to reopen tomorrow, Aug. 20.

Attended donation centers in North Andover, Chelmsford, Reading and Peabody have also been closed because of the heat.

Goodwill Industries has a number of attended and unattended donation centers throughout the state that support its mission to help people with barriers to employment find work.

Donations directly support job training, career services, and youth programs.
