After an unseasonably cool weekend, warm weather returns for the work week with cooler nights. Tuesday is the one day where weather will be a bit unsettled with a chance of thunderstorms. Don’t worry -- summer hasn’t gone anywhere. Hot temperatures return later in the week heading into next weekend. For now, enjoy a break from the air conditioning before turning it back on come Friday.
Here’s a look at Swampscott’s weather according to the National Weather Service:
- Monday: Partly cloudy skies with a high of 78 starts the work week. Those partly cloudy skies continue into Monday night with a low of 59.
- Tuesday: A mix of clouds and sun with scattered thunderstorms Tuesday. Tuesday’s high expected to be 73. Variable cloudiness with more scattered thunderstorms Tuesday night with a low of 62.
- Wednesday: After a stormy and cooler day Tuesday, warm weather returns Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and a high of 80. A chance of rain exists in the early afternoon.
- Thursday: Sunny skies Thursday with a few afternoon clouds and a high of 79. Clouds early Thursday night will give way to clear skies overnight, with a low of 58.
- Friday: Friday is expected to be a sunny day with a high of 84. Mostly clear skies Friday night with a low of 65.
