It was a week of emotional highs and lows in Tewksbury, featuring a repeat robbery, rememberance of those lost, and the start of the high school sports season.
Main Street Shell Station is robbed again
Police are on the lookout for a man they say robbed the Shell gas station at 1975 Main Street early Saturday morning at knife-point.

Surveillance images indicate the man may be the same individual that robbed the same gas station two weeks earlier.
In the most recent case, the man, his appearance disguised, entered the store just before 6 a.m., forced the clerk to lay on the floor and cleaned out the register before leaving and heading in the direction of Shawsheen Street.

Police believe there may be a witness to the robbery and are looking to speak with the driver of a silver minivan believed to have been at the scene.
THS football team clobbers Lincoln-Sudbury
Quarterback Sean Connolly was a one-man wrecking crew in leading Tewksbury to a 28-17 thrashing of Lincoln-Sudbury on opening night of the high school footbll season.
Connolly threw three touchdown passes and ran for a fourth score. He also picked off an L-S pas while playing safety on defense.
Ryan Viber and Anthony Arcari also had strong games.
Selectmen confirms opposition to local access
At its meeting last week, Selectmen heard an update from Town Manager Richard Montuori regarding efforts to get an interchange off I-93 (critical for the Tri-Town Development project) built without local access in the area of South Street.
Board Chairman Todd Johnson took time to reiterate that the town and the board are steadfastly opposed to local access off the interchange, as it would cause a buildup of traffic that would cause safety and quality of life issues in that neighborhood.
Montouri said he and other town officials had met with Congresswoman Nikki Tsongas and plan to meet with staff members from the Secretary of Transportation during his October visit to the region.
Selectmen finalize special town meeting warrant
Also at its meeting, the board gave final approval to the warrant for the Special Town Meeting in October.
The highlight of the warrant is an article to spend $6.1 million on a Town Hall renovation project. The project will be paid for from Community Preservation funds. Of the total, $1.5 million will be spent up front and the remaining $4.6 million borrowed.
THS girls soccer team gives new coach a 5-0 win
The Tewksbury High girls soccer team opened its season with a 5-0 victory over Notre Dame Academy Tuesday. Freshman Alyson Spencer scored two goals in her high school soccer debut and sophomore Nicole Chaet registered two goals of her own.
New coach Kelly Barrio notched a win in her first game and followed with a tie against Wilmington.
Tewksbury remembers 9/11 victims with candlelight vigil
A large crowd gathered at the 9/11 Memorial in front of the Tewksbury Library for a candlelight vigil Saturday night, marking the ninth anniversary of he terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington D.C.
The keynote speaker was Larissa Gay, whose father Peter was one of two Tewksbury residents on board American Airlines Flight 11 when it was crashed into the World Trade Center.
Police Chief Tim Sheehan and Deputy Fire Chief Mike Hazel also spoke at the event.
Teen critically injured when struck by car on Main Street
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to a Boston hospital in critical condition after being struck by a car while riding his bike on Main Street Friday night.
The accident took place across from the Church of St. William.
The boy was riding his bike with a friend. The two were headed home from the library at the time of the accident. No charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle.
