A comprehensive Special Education program comprising the full continuum of Special Education Programs and Services is available to every student who resides in Tewksbury who meets eligibility criteria as a child in need of special education.

Pre-referral, screening, referral, and multidisciplinary evaluation are among the array of services available through the Tewksbury Public Schools to Tewksbury residents ages 3 through 21. These varied, multifaceted services are designed to determine whether or not a child is eligible for special education and are implemented in each school site and systemwide within the district by expert and credentialed professionals who include but are not limited to Early Childhood Specialists, Moderate Special Needs Specialists, Speech and Language Pathologists, School Adjustment Counselors, School Psychologists, a Registered Occupational Therapist, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, a Registered Physical Therapist, ABA and Behavior Specialists, Educational Support Instructional Aides, School Principals, and Classroom Teachers.
