Details Released On National Drug Takeback Day In Tewksbury
The upcoming event provides the public with a chance to easily dispose of expired and unused medications.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Police Department is participating in National Drug Takeback Day.
The event is Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tewksbury Police Department at 918 Main St. The nationwide effort is sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency.
Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted, expired, or over-the-counter medications to be safely disposed of by the DEA.

- Remove personal or drug information from bottles, or place medications in a sealed plastic bag.
- No sharps will be accepted.
- Liquid medications should remain in their original containers with tightly secured caps to prevent leaks.
