Dog Killed In Hit And Run, Tewksbury Police Ask For Public's Help
A dog was hit and killed Oct. 6 on North Street in Tewksbury.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police recently requested the public's help solving a hit-and-run that killed a dog.
The dog was hit by a vehicle on North Street near the North Street School around 2:40 p.m. Oct. 6.
"It appears the dog was chasing an animal and broke loose from it’s owner and unfortunately succumbed to its injuries from the collision," the police said.

The driver did not stop.
Police are asking for public assistance finding the driver, the department said. The driver was described by witnesses as driving a white Jeep Compass.
