The Tewksbury Police Department, along with Hannaford Supermarkets, Lowell General Hospital and the Greater Lowell Health Alliance is holding a free car seat safety check on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hannaford parking lot located at 777 Rogers St. in Lowell. According to police, having a car seat installed incorrectly could put your child at risk. Come down to the event this weekend have your car seat checked out by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. You will also learn the five most commons types of car seat misuse and which seat type is right for your child.Parents are strongly encouraged to bring their children to this event to allow the technicians to see how your child fits in his or her car seat.In case of rain the event will be moved to Sunday, May 17.
