TEWKSBURY, MA - Last January, Gold's Gym in Tewksbury shuttered its doors. In a few weeks, under new ownership, Gold's Gym will reopen to the community and they have a lot in store for members.

The Boston Gold's Group is the new owner of the Tewksbury location, located at 540 Main St., and they are quite familiar with the business. They already own five other locations in Arlington, Medford, Concord, South Boston and Reading.

Regional Manager Julie O'Connell told Tewksbury Patch the decision to choose the Tewksbury location was an easy one.

"We chose Tewksbury because we loved the layout of the building and gym itself," O'Connell says. "One of our managers lives in Tewksbury and said the community was perfect. After doing our marketing research, and going to different restaurants and businesses around the area, we fell in love with the tight community feel."

Gold's Gym will be officially reopening in the next five to seven weeks, but new memberships are being accepted now. With the new opening, members can get the lowest rate they offer and a zero initiation fee by coming to the Tewksbury location or calling 978-851-3733.
