UPDATED: History Made in Tewksbury; Ground Broken on New High School
Rain doesn't dampen the enthusiasm of students, town officials and school personnel.
A steady rain could not dampen the spirits of more than 100 students, state and local officials, school personnel and interested residents, who turned out to witness history.
Ground was officially broken on the new $66 million Tewksbury High School on Wednesday.
Among those in attendance was state Treasurer Timothy Cahill, whose office overseas the School Building Authority. The SBA is covering 60 percent of the cost of the new complex, which will open for students in the Fall of 2012.
