BUDA and Lexington Recreation are providing an expanded youth Ultimate program this fall. This fun, fast-paced sport is popular in schools and in adult recreational and competitive leagues. The program is designed to teach kids all they need to know in order to play and have fun. A new competitive program is available as well.
The programs all feature a mix of individual skills work, group games and drills and are designed to be fun and very active. All players should bring water. For the more advanced groups, it is highly recommend all players come with soccer cleats, but sneakers are fine for the introductory players.

For players who wish to compete against other teams and prepare themselves for high school competition, they are now offering a U15 Travel team. This group will focus more intensely on advanced skills (e.g., breaking mark, hucking, reading the disc, defensive positioning) and strategy (e.g., zone). The first session will be a “tryout” session. Players who are not yet ready will be placed in the U15 Developmental program. The two U15 programs will run side by side. On 2-3 weekends, the U15 Travel program will have a 3-hour round robin tournament instead of their usual practice time. It is likely that these events will be local.
