Local Girl Scout Troops Helping to Make Mother's Day a Little Brighter

Girl Scout Troops from Tewksbury and Wilmington made Mother's Day bags for the clients of Healthy Families Lowell.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Girl Scout Troops from Tewksbury and Wilmington came together again this year to make Mother’s Day bags for the clients of Healthy Families Lowell.

The hand decorated bags are filled with soaps, nail polish, lotions and other pampering items for the mothers who are served by the organization, part of the Massachusetts Office of Family and Children.

The Troops that participated include Cadette Troop 60245 Tewksbury, Troops 88109 and 86281 from Wilmington, and Cadette and Senior Troop 66771 from Tewksbury.

The MSPCC office serves parents under the age of 21 with educational and emotional support until their child turns three. The communities of Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford are served by this office, and native speakers are available for Spanish, Khmer, Vietnamese and Portuguese speaking families. www.mspcc.org or 978-935-5810.
