Tewksbury Police made one arrest and issued a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect after a victim was beaten and choked unconscious earlier this week.

On Tuesday, August 25, members of the Tewksbury Police Department responded to the Gold’s Gym (540 Main St.) for a report of a serious motor vehicle accident that involved a single vehicle that had rolled over. When they interviewed the driver of the crashed vehicle, detectives learned he was the victim of an attempted unarmed robbery by two male suspects prior to the crash. It is alleged the victim was lured to Tewksbury to sell marijuana and then beaten and choked unconscious by two males while he was operating his vehicle prior to the crash.
