Lowell Man Arrested At Tewksbury Motel Accused Of Drug Trafficking

TEWKSBURY, MA — A Lowell man was arrested during a domestic dispute Thursday in Tewksbury and is accused of drug trafficking, drug possession and violating a protection order, the Tewksbury Police said.

Tricelle Durham, 56, was charged with trafficking cocaine (36-100 grams), possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and violation of an abuse prevention order, police said.

Authorities said Durham was arraigned Friday in Lowell District Court, where he was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail. Durham's previously pending case also was revoked, and the suspect was ordered to follow the protection from abuse order if he posts bail in the future.

According to police records, at approximately 7:22 p.m. Thursday, Tewksbury police responded to a report of a domestic argument at a motel located at 95 Main St.

At the scene, according to police, officers discovered that the suspect — later identified as Durham — and a woman were engaged in an argument. The Tewksbury PD said its officers determined that Durham was subject to an abuse prevention order that required him to stay away from the female.

While arresting Durham, officers discovered 63 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of crack cocaine on Durham, the department said.
