Man Killed In Early Morning Tewksbury Crash

TEWKSBURY, MA —A man died in a rollover crash on Interstate 495 northbound in Tewksbury early Friday morning.

The victim was a young adult male. His identity has not been released, pending next-of-kin notification.

Around 2:19 a.m. state police responded to a crash south of Route 38 in Tewksbury.

State and Tewksbury police found the man was ejected in the crash. Tewksbury firefighters and EMS attempted to save his life, but he was taken to Lowell General and pronounced dead.

"Preliminary investigation suggests the vehicle was southbound on 495 when, for reasons still to be determined, the operator lost control and the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on the northbound side," the state police said.

State police are investigating the crash.
