Manhunt For Possibly Armed, Dangerous Suspect After Killing: DA

LOWELL, MA — Authorities are asking for the public's help looking for a possibly armed homeless man who they said struck and killed a Lowell man Saturday night, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson.

Anthony "Tony" Massetti, 53, is wanted in the killing of a 51-year-old man found dead in his Wilder Street home. Police said the victim, who they have not identified, was hit during an altercation with Massetti.

Massetti is often in Lowell, using a bicycle to get around. He could have at least one gun.

Massetti has “TONY” tattooed on his right bicep, Rolling Stones lips on his right forearm and a dragon on his left forearm, authorities said.

Authorities said this was not a random act, but the public should not approach Massetti. Instead they should call Lowell police at 978-937-3200 or State Police at 508-820-2121.
