Methuen Man Accused Of Spitting On, Punching Police At Tewksbury Hotel
Patrick Buckley is accused of refusing to check out of his hotel room and getting violent with officers who arrived at the scene.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A Methuen man was arrested at a Tewksbury hotel Saturday after being accused of refusing to check out and spitting on and hitting responding officers, according to the Tewksbury Police Department.
Patrick Buckley, 36, was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, police said. After his arrest, Buckley was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court, authorities said.
According to police reports, at about noon on Saturday, Tewksbury PD officers were called to a hotel at 1910 Andover St., for a report of a customer who was unruly and refusing to check out of his room.

Officers at the scene attempted to speak to Buckley, but the suspect was shouting and refusing to check out or pay for his room for another night, police said.
According to the Tewksbury PD, Buckley spat on one officer, spat on and punched a second officer and punched a third officer, before being taken into custody.

The Tewksbury PD said that neither Buckley nor any officers suffered serious injuries.
