Report: Police Found Woman's Body in Crawl Space

Investigators think Stephen Andrade, found dead in Tewksbury last week, killed Sue Hutchinson and then concealed her body and fled.

More information is beginning to trickle out about the case of Sue Hutchinson and Stephen Andrade.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announced on Oct. 12, 2015, that they believe police have recovered the body of Hutchinson.

Police detectives and fire and rescue teams were called to 169A Calef Road in Manchester due to “a report of a strange odor in the building,” which had been detected by members of Hutchinson’s family.

Hutchinson had been missing since Sept. 20, 2015.

After searching various areas throughout the building, detectives eventually located a crawl space hidden behind a false wall inside a closet in her apartment.

“They removed the wall panel in that closet and discovered an adult female’s body concealed in the crawl space,” according to a press statement. “Based on all the circumstances, the body is believed to be that of Sue Hutchinson. However, a definitive identification of the deceased will not be made until after the autopsy scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015.”

Hutchinson’s roommate also went missing in September around the same time she did. That roommate, Stephen Andrade, killed himself in a motel in Tewksbury Massachusetts on Oct. 6, 2015.

“Based on statements Andrade made shortly before he killed himself, it appears likely that he killed Sue Hutchinson, concealed her body, fled, and then eventually killed himself,” according to the statement.

Further details regarding this investigation will be released once the autopsy results become available.
