1. Market Basket Shorted Customers On Coffee: Lawsuit

A class-action lawsuit filed February in federal court accused Market Basket of cheating customers who bought cans of coffee by about half the amount advertised. The lawsuit against the Tewksbury-based supermarket chain claimed the company's house blend and decaffeinated coffee cans advertised having 79 and 76 cups worth of coffee, respectively. Third-party testing showed the cans only contained 39 and 37 servings, according to the lawsuit.

2. Nurse Strangled At Tewksbury State Hospital: Report

There were two incidents between patients and staff at the hospital in August, a Department of Public Health spokesperson confirmed to Patch. The confirmation came after state Rep. Colleen Garry told the Lowell Sun a nurse was "nearly strangled to death" by a patient.

3. Tewksbury Real Estate Developer Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion

A 61-year-old Tewksbury man was charged with defrauding the government of more than $480,000. He pleaded guilty in May to one count of tax evasion.

4. FBI Confirms Investigation, Search In Tewksbury Tuesday

The FBI and state and Boston police joined Tewksbury police in an investigation in town earlier this month. They did not share any details on the investigation.
