TEWKSBURY, MA — Over recent weeks, Patch has asked readers for their help putting together a tour of the area's best holiday light displays.

And you delivered, with impressive yards across the Merrimack Valley and beyond. Now your neighbors will know where to find the most impressive displays around.

A few simple rules to keep in mind first:

GET ON THE LIST: Patch's is a friendly list. We LOVE reader submissions, so we'll be updating the list until New Year's Eve. And we're not picky about where you live — just because your town isn't on the list yet doesn't mean we don't want to see your display. So tell us why your light display is special and send your pictures to chris.huffaker@patch.com. (Read more about getting on the list.)

BE RESPECTFUL: Don't honk your horn or litter. Please be respectful of people's neighbors. We think 10 p.m. is a reasonable time to stop looking at houses on weeknights, and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

20 S Rhoda Street, Tewksbury: "Crazy Claudio's Christmas Decorations" are back for another holiday season in Tewksbury. Claudio Pereira's decorations are up 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly until the first week of January.

"I love this time of year, I always look forward to decorating," Pereira said. "My daughters love to help me and I love knowing the happiness my decorations bring to others. Every year I add to my collection and try out new ideas to keep it fun and exciting."

15 Meadow View Lane, Andover: The Cook family's "It's Doggone Christmas Time!" is also back for another year. Their show is up 4 to 11 p.m. nightly through New Year's.

"We love Christmas almost as much as we love our dogs," Justin Cook said. "Come see the light up dogs in the yard and the pair of real-life Golden Retrievers watching over the yard from the windows! This year we added Santa and his sleigh, nutcrackers and more furry friends to the lawn, as well as lighting up our 30-foot blue spruce trees."

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Cook said.

2 William Avenue Woburn: The Duggan-Sullivan home in Woburn has two separate displays this year: "Sully's Inflatable Park" in the front yard and "White Forest" in the side yard.

The display is up until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends through Jan. 1. It's drive-by only, no walk-throughs.

"The displays are special because 95% of the decorations are second-hand that my son Christopher who is almost 15 has purchased with his own money and repaired," Sherri Duggan-Sullivan said. "He sets everything up with just a small bit of help from me."

2 Aspen Circle, Andover: The Ferguson family is back in Patch's holiday light tour for a second year running. The display is up daily until Jan. 2 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

"Our display is made by multiple, colorful and bright figurines scattered across our yard, plastic figurines that are 40-50 years old, and handmade characters made out of plywood that are one of a kind," Haley Ferguson said.

Thornton Street, Woburn MA: The Scanlons' light display is up 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. nightly, weather permitting. They have 39 inflatables and several light up displays.

(Paul Scanlon)

2 Tobey Lane, Andover: The "Dunne Light Show" is tuned to the Christmas music on 87.9 FM and includes a "12 foot mega-tree, house outline in RGB pixels, arches, and the cast of Rudolph up front."

"The Rudolph characters are still incandescent lights so I added spotlights for each one," James Dunne said. "Also, three blowups are out there that blow up during their song (Grinch, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman)."

The light show has new features this year, including "a full-size Santa sleigh for kids to sit in and take pictures."

"Another mega-tree was put up to enhance the show," Dunne said. "We also have two singing Christmas trees, one singing Rudolph and one singing Santa."

The Dunnes have a bin for non-perishable food and personal care items to collect donations for the Lawrence YMCA Food Pantry.

"Please consider donating when coming by to see the light show," Dunne said.

The show is nightly from 4 to 9 p.m. until Jan. 1.

92 Lisa Lane, North Andover, MA 01845: Tim Cleary's "Holiday Projection Light Show" runs Thursday to Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. It's a 17-minute show that starts at the top of each half-hour, with the final show beginning at 9 and ending at 9:17 p.m.

"Our show is unique compared to what's out there," Cleary said. "Instead of hanging lights, we project a Christmas light show on the front of our house. The show is choreographed to music and has everything from Rudolph, to lasers, Santa, and fireworks! Each song is meticulously designed to go to the beat of the music and flow with the theme of the song. You have to see it in person to experience what a projection show can do! Tune to 89.1 to hear the music! Be sure to show up a few minutes early before the half-hour mark to get a good parking spot and watch the pre-show countdown!"

"The Lit Peach" — 9 Peach Ave, Billerica: Like last year, Amie and Paul Diminico of Billerica's display will be shining every night from 5 to 10 p.m.

(Amie Diminico)

7 Chippy Lane, Methuen: Cathy Alessandri shared her Methuen display.

(Cathy Alessandri)

7 Mary Lou Lane, Andover, MA: Bill Cleary has "a few thousand lights that dance to music when you tune your car’s radio to 90.1" at his Andover home.

"Multiple projectors show scenes of Frosty and Santa, and the yard is decorated with scenes of Christmas trees, candy canes, and the Grinch," Cleary said.

(Bill Cleary)

10 Freeport Drive Wilmington MA 01887: Rob and Natale Medros' "Freeport Light Show" is back in Wilmington.

The light show is on Instagram and Twitter at @freeportlights.
