Photo of the Day: Residents Make Strides Against Breast Cancer

Denise (second from left) and Alyssa Martucci (second from right) of Tewksbury recently attended the kickoff breakfast for the 19^th annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Boston.

They were joined by emcees Dylan Dreyer of 7News on 7NBC/CW56 (left) and Candy O’Terry of MAGIC 106.7 (right). The Mariuccis will be one of 40,000 people making strides to end breast cancer on Sunday, October 2, at the DCR Hatch Shell in Boston.

Making Strides in Boston, the largest one-day walk to fight breast cancer in the nation, is an inspiring event that unites the entire community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, educates women about prevention and early detection, and supports the Society’s mission to save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against breast cancer.
