Planning Board to Discuss Town Hall, Special Town Meeting Articles

Board of Health, High School Building Committee also scheduled to meet.

The Planning Board has a full agenda on its plate.

At the top of the agenda is an update on the $6.1 million Town Hall renovation project, presented by board member Nancy Reed, who doubles as chairperson of the Community Preservation Committee, the driving force behind the project.

Also on the agenda at 7 p.m. are discussions regarding proposed roadway layout recommendations for both Shawsheen Ave. and Birchwood Road.

The property at 1079 Main St. takes center stage next, as George Eliopoulas, representing Thea Rnixi, LLC, will appear before the board to discuss a request for a special use permit relating to the Town Center Overlay District. That property is presently home to Galloway's Grocerette.

At 7:15 p.m., the board will hold a public hearing relating to the zoning amendments that will appear as articles on the Oct. 5 Special Town Meeting warrant.
