Police Arrest Three for Alleged Drunk Driving Within 43 Minutes

Friday, May 2
- At 7:08 p.m. officers were off with a driver showing an outstanding warrant. Jonathan Michael Sanchez, 24, of 454 Central Street, Lowell, was arrested on a warrant for malicious destruction of property greater than $250.

- At 1:00 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for marked lanes violations. Police took a 26-year-old Tewksbury resident into protective custody. In addition, Derick R. MacKenzie Jr., 18, of 185 Allen Road, Billerica, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and possession of one ounce or less of marijuana. Another Billerica resident was also taken into protective custody.
- At 1:03 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street near State Street. Derek J. Lynch, 42, of 4 Kimball Court Apt. 108, Woburn, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
- At 1:43 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Geddes Drive for defective equipment. Following the stop, police arrested Cory Edward Daley, 22, of 4 King Street, Wilmington. Daley was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and motor vehicle lights equipment.
- At 7:03 p.m. a 911 caller reported a group of about nine men stopped at the entrance to the high school in white vans getting out and chasing the caller and his friends.
