Police Arrest Two for Breaking into Businesses

Waltham men charged with breaking into two commercial buildings in town.

Tewksbury Police have arrested two Waltham men for breaking into two businesses in town on April 16.

On April 17, the Tewksbury Police Department arrested Donald Gillis, 45, of 96 Taylor St, Waltham and on April 23 they arrested David Florio, 40, of 19 Gardner St, Waltham for breaking into two commercial buildings in Tewksbury, located on Woburn and East Streets.

According to police, detectives were able to connect these suspects to the crimes with the assistance of video surveillance and the Waltham Police Department. Numerous amounts of construction and welding equipment were recovered from 96 Taylor St., Waltham.

Gillis was charged with breaking and entering/nighttime/felony, larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property over $250.

Florio was charged with breaking and entering/nighttime/felony, two counts of larceny over $250, three counts of malicious destruction of property and receiving stolen property over $250.

Both suspects have been arraigned at Lowell District Court.
