Police Make Heroin, Cocaine Distribution Arrest

Officials say the individual charged was delivering to locations in Tewksbury.

A Lawrence man has been arrested following an investigation into the distribution of heroin and cocaine being delivered to locations in Tewksbury.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, members of the Tewksbury Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation into a heroin and cocaine distributor delivering to locations in Tewksbury. Tewksbury detectives, working in conjunction with Billerica and Andover Detectives, as well as members of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), set up surveillance on Pondview Lane.

Detectives subsequently arrested Marcial Amaury Arias-Santana, 38, of 108 East Pleasant Street (apartment #1) in Lawrence, Ma, on Pondview Lane, for the following offenses: Trafficking in a Class A Substance (heroin) Over #18 Grams, Distribution of a Class A Substance (heroin), Distribution of a Class B Substance (cocaine), and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (cocaine). During the arrest of Arias-Santana, approximately 24 grams of suspected heroin and 7.5 grams of cocaine were recovered.

Marcial Amaury Arias-Santana is due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on September 4th, 2015.
