Police Seek To Charge Man Accused Of Looking Into Young Girls' Bedroom
Dracut police intend to press charges against a man who was caught peering into the bedroom of young girls aged two and five.
DRACUT, MA — Police say they are looking to press charges against a man who is accused of looking through the bedroom window of two young girls in Dracut.
Officers responded to the Skyline Commons apartment complex around 2:15 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of a suspicious man "hiding in the bushes" outside an apartment.
A neighbor walking her dog around 2 a.m. told officers her dog noticed the man first, who emerged from behind the bushes and ran away.

When officers spoke with the woman who lived in the apartment, she told them she was woken up by a barking dog and her young daughters who are 2 and 5 years old, crying and screaming in their bedroom because they had seen a man looking into their bedroom window.
Officers searched the area but said they were unable to find the man. Around 4:30 a.m., police received a call saying the man from earlier had returned, but this time, was seen leaving in a vehicle.

The same neighbor who spotted him before was the one who saw him again. She told police she got in her car in followed him, while on the phone with 911 the whole time.
Dracut police were able to stop the suspect's car and identified the driver as the man who had been looking into the young girls' bedroom earlier in the night.
The man's identity has not been released, but Dracut police say the intent to seek charges against the man in Lowell District Court. The specifics of the charges sought against him are not being released to the public.
"This was a concerning incident, and I want to thank the residents who contacted us and provided us with information that was key to this investigation," deputy police Chief David Chartrand said in a statement.
