Prom Dresses Being Collected for Fairy Godmother Project

Drive being coordinated by the Middlesex Mammas.

(Editor's note: The following information was provided by the Middlesex Mammas.)

Starting now until Feb. 28, will be collecting items to donate to the North Shore Fairy Godmother Project of Massachusetts. Lentini has been volunteering with them for the past seven years.

The North Shore Fairy Godmother Project is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that provides prom gowns and accessories free of charge to deserving area teenage girls who need just a little help to be able to go to their high school prom.

  • Prom gowns, cleaned and wearable current designs; all sizes, colors & styles - bridesmaids and cocktail dresses are also perfect.
  • Shoes, all sizes - teen evening.
  • Purses, young evening - all colors.
  • Jewelry and jewelry cleaner.
  • Hair accessories - clips, tiaras, rhinestones, etc.
  • Gown hangers, dress bags, shopping bags.
  • Gift Bag items: (unopened makeup and accessories) lipstick, eye shadow, rouge, mascara, nail polish, perfume.
  • Monetary donations to help defer costs of garment racks, hangers, gift bags, mirrors, paper, and Plus and Petite sizes not always available from prom gown drives.

Start digging through those closets. There may be some old prom gowns and bridesmaids dresses in there that you will never wear again. Same for shoes and purses! Raid those jewelry boxes for any jewelry that has just been sitting there collecting dust. Ask sisters, cousins, friends, co-workers, etc to do the same. Spread the word!

You can contact Jenn Lentini at 978-257-0547 or middlesexmammas@gmail.com to set up a drop off/pick up time if you have anything you would like to donate.

Donations are being accepted now until Feb. 28.
