Proposed Tewksbury Lithium-ion Battery site

Your support to ensure the safety of Tewksbury residents is critical

This Saturday, September 20, residents of Tewksbury will gather at the town center for a demonstration to show their opposition to a proposed placement of a Lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage System facility within a half mile of residential, assisted living, school and business facilities housing more than 1,200 individuals. Hundreds of residents have signed a petition against this development. Now is the time for you to join us on Saturday morning from 9 am to noon, at the intersection of Pleasant and Main Streets, to show your support.

And, on the same subject, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board has released a notice of a Public Hearing on the proposed Hillman Energy Center, LLC Lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage System Project to be located at 73-75 Hillman Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The hearing is scheduled on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tewksbury Memorial High School Auditorium. YOUR ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL!
