Rachel Eatherton -- Accomplished Student, Athlete, Citizen

"Whiz Kids" is a weekly column featuring individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even teams, who wow us with their accomplishments. This week, we feature Rachel Eatherton, a freshman at Tewksbury High School, who is making a name for herself at the school.

Accomplishments:

• Perfect score on English Language Arts MCAS 2010 (only 8th grader at Wynn School to accomplish this); honored by School Committee on Feb. 9.
• Principal's List at - TMHS - Wynn Middle School - Ryan School - Dewing School every term.
• Elected freshmen class president.
•  Varsity football and basketball cheerleader
•  Volunteer coach for the Wamesit youth football cheerleaders
•  Volunteer at Christmas with Salvation Army to help those in need
•  Plays in town recreational basketball
•  Competitive dancer for local dance studio (dancing since age 2).
• Spends time with family and friends
• Babysits

Keys to Awesomeness: Rachel is poised and confident. She is always focused on her goal. She shows empathy towards her peers.
