Residents, Business Owners Invited to Town Center Visioning Meeting
The Tuesday, Sept. 15 meeting will include considerations for future improvements and an interactive visioning session driven by residents.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, all interested residents and business owners in Tewksbury are invited to attend a Public Visioning Meeting at the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler St., at 7:30 p.m.
In September of 2013, Tewksbury’s Board of Selectmen formed a Town Center Master Plan Committee charged with developing a Master Plan to improve the town center. The committee’s mission is to produce a Master Plan in a manner that is transparent and open to all stakeholders in an effort to provide a public process that is collaborative, cooperative and coordinated with the goal of achieving consensus and endorsement of the issues, goals and objectives, and implementation strategies.
After significant work by the Town Center Master Plan Committee during its first year of work, funds were set aside at the 2014 Special Town Meeting to hire a consultant to complete the Town Center Master Plan. In the spring of 2015, the town entered an agreement with The Cecil Group to assist the Town Center Master Plan Committee with the generation of the Town Center Master Plan.

At the Sept. 15 meeting, an overview of the current Town Center and considerations for future improvements will be presented by the Cecil Group, followed by an interactive visioning session driven by the residents in attendance. The discussion will be far-reaching, considering several elements of the Center, including parking, pedestrian and bicycle access, land use & zoning, signage, private and public development, and overall aesthetics of the Center.
Registration is not required, but an estimated head count will make planning for the meeting more efficient. Residents and business owners are encouraged to signup through a Sign-up Genius Page, or indicate their attendance through the event page on Facebook.
