September is Zero Waste Day Month in Tewksbury
Tewksbury's seventh annual Zero Waste Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 find out how to get involved and more.

Tewksbury’s seventh annual Zero Waste Day will be held onSaturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Wynn Middle School parking lot.
Help to spread the word about this drive thru donating and recycling event by forwarding the flyer above to your friends, neighbors and any community groups to which you belong.
Reminder: You need not be a Tewksbury resident to participate. All are welcome!

Do you live in a high visibility area?
Zero Waste Day organizers are seeking locations to post 100 new ZWD lawn signs from Sunday, Sept. 20-27. (They deliver and pick-up). If you live in a high visibility area and would like to host a sign for one week, email info@zwdtewksbury.org and include your name and street address. They will select the best locations and confirm your participation via email. (The group is especially in need of more South Tewksbury coverage.)

No Hazardous Waste!
Please note hazardous waste materials are NOT collected at ZWD. Tewksbury residents are asked to dispose of all hazardous items at the Minuteman Household Hazardous WasteFacility in Lexington. They are open to the public one day each month from April thru November. The next collection date is Sunday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The ZWD website is available all year at www.zwdtewksbury.org. Check out their Share Your Stuff and Go Green pages for up-to-date contact info of local organizations that will gladly accept your donations of gently used items or your items to be recycled. And, if you know someone in a neighboring community who might be interested in coordinating their own ZWD, please point them to our PLAN YOUR OWN ZWD page which provides a six month step-by-step planning guide and sample marketing materials.
