Support the Tewksbury Freemasons Blood Drive

Wamesit Masonic Lodge in Tewksbury announces winter schedule for its Red Cross Blood Drive

Tewksbury’s Wamesit Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons partners with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive each month. The Lodge has released its winter blood drive schedule which includes eleven dates across February, March, and April. “The schedule includes weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, and early evenings – we do all we can to accommodate the busy schedules of donors who want to participate,” says Steve Lavargna, a Masonic brother at the Lodge. “We had a great response from the community to our drive in 2024 and hope to start 2025 off just as strong.”

Blood donations help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. To support this critical need, the Masons aim to collect over 1,500 units of blood in 2025, which can help save 4,500 lives.

The winter blood drive schedule at Wamesit Masonic Hall on 70 Victor Drive, Tewksbury, MA 01876, is as follows. If interested in donating blood, please schedule an appointment by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor app, by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org/.

Wamesit Lodge is part of the world’s oldest and largest fraternity – Freemasonry. The fraternity is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity. The Freemasons help men to be the best possible versions of ourselves, and make connections with men who share the same values.
