Tewksbury Bank Branch To Close Next Month
The six Massachusetts closings are part of 38 branches designated for this year.
TEWKSBURY, MA — It's now less than a month for TD Bank to shutter dozens more locations across multiple states, including a Tewksbury location.
The Massachusetts closings are part of 38 branches designated for closure this year, according to a 2024 filing with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. According to filing, in addition to the Massachusetts closings, New England closings include two branches in Connecticut, four in Maine and four in New Hampshire.

- 860 S. Main St., Bradford
- 465 N. Main St., East Longmeadow
- 420 Franklin St., Framingham
- 50 Holyoke St., Holyoke
- 547 Broadway, Methuen
- 2345 Main St., Tewksbury
June 5 is the designated date. The closures were announced in March.
TD Bank will have 282 locations in Massachusetts after these six shutter, and said they are committed to making the transition "as smooth as possible" for customers. The bank's U.S. headquarters are in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The branch closures span 10 states and the District of Columbia and were listed in filings to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and a list obtained by Fast Company.
The decision to close more branches comes as the company continues to deal with the fallout from agreeing to pay a $3 billion fine after pleading guilty in a money laundering scheme that funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to drug cartels.
The Department of Justice said that for more than a decade, TD Bank failed to meet its responsibilities under the federal Bank Secrecy Act, which requires financial institutions to report suspicious activity that may be linked to money laundering.
