TEWKSBURY, MA —The Deacons of Tewksbury Congregational Church invite you to join us for a “Love Thy Neighbor” Candlelight Vigil. It will be a time to gather in unity and reflection on the divisions around us. In these challenging times, we seek to listen, learn, and find a way forward together grounded in compassion and understanding. The vigil will be held on the front lawn of the
church on Thursday, July 24 at 7 pm.
There is so much going on locally, nationally and globally that is cruel and unjust and a source of division. Our faith calls us to wrestle with these complexities and try to live out the words that Jesus said in Matthew 5:9 where we are reminded to be peacemakers, to bring reconciliation, and help resolve conflict in our communities and world. God's Holy Word calls us to treat every human being
with dignity and respect by loving our neighbors as ourselves. This vigil is a space for prayer, reflection, and being together as a community—regardless of where we stand on the issues. While the vigil will be led by the Pastor and Deacons of TCC, we invite people of all beliefs and understandings to join us.
