Tewksbury Congregational Church Families Enjoy Trip to Heifer Farm
The day's events were part of Heifer's Global Harvest Festival.
Last weekend, Tewksbury Congregational Church rented a bus for its friends and families so all could visit the Heifer Farm in Rutland, MA at no cost.
Fun activities enjoyed by all ages included: pressing apple cider, digging potatoes, rolling bees wax candles, caring for farm animals, milking goats, enjoying piñata fun, participating in hay rides and picking pumpkins among other things. The day’s events were part of Heifer’s Global Harvest Festival which featured hands-on, interactive programs and activities promoting sustainable solutions to global hunger, poverty and environmental degradation.
