Sunday School is set to begin on Sunday, Sept. 13. Beginning at 9 a.m., juice and Donna’s Donuts will be served in the Vestry while parents and youth have a moment to greet new families or become reacquainted with familiar ones. Sign-ups for musical programs will also be available.
Children at Tewksbury Congregational Church meet in grade specific classrooms for an hour, where the topic to be taught is presented in story form. This lesson is then reinforced through crafts, projects and activities. Classes are offered to students aged 3 through high school age (Nursery is available for younger children). All classes are held at the same time as adult worship so that caregivers can have time to decompress and start the week refreshed. There is no cost to participate in Tewksbury Congregational Church’s programming.

Free music education is also a component of the Sunday morning experience for those who wish to participate. Through the use of handbells and chimes, youth as young as kindergarten are taught to read music and play an instrument. In addition, opportunities abound for the development of performing art skills through three different vocal choirs ages three through adult, a Contemporary Youth Ensemble consisting of various musical instruments played by teens and opportunities to participate in drama.
Whether you come enjoy the last days of summer by watching a movie under the stars, or opt to visit the church Sunday mornings for a 9:30 a.m. service, all are welcome and invited to participate.
