Tewksbury PD Arrests 3 In 2 Separate Drug Investigations
In one case, Stephen Elliott, of Lowell, was charged with drug offenses after police said they found fentanyl during a motel room search.
Tewksbury, MA — A Lowell man has been charged with multiple drug offenses, some of them relating to fentanyl, after he was arrested this past weekend at a local motel, according to Tewksbury police.
Two women from Dracut also face drug charges after they were arrested Wednesday as part of a separate investigation, the Tewksbury PD said.
Stephen Elliott, 36, of Lowell, was arrested Saturday and charged with distribution of a Class B substance, possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class A substance, and possession of a Class B Substance, authorities said.

Elliott was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Sunday, police said.
According to police reports, at approximately 9:15 a.m. on April 7, the Tewksbury PD was conducting surveillance in the area of 95 Main St., when officers observed what they believed to be multiple drug transactions.

The Tewksbury PD said its detectives stopped multiple people leaving the area and discovered they were in possession of drugs. The department said the detectives secured evidence relating to the source of the drugs.
On Saturday, police obtained a search warrant from Lowell District Court for a room at the Motel 6, located at 95 Main St, according to the Tewksbury PD. There, officers discovered 2 grams of fentanyl, nine tablets of buprenorphine and drug dealing paraphernalia, police said.
Elliott was arrested at the scene, according to police.
In the other case, Erica Gauthier, 50, of Dracut, and Kimberly Hebert, 55, of Dracut, were arrested Wednesday for allegedly distributing drugs, police said. The Tewksbury PD did not indicate which substances were involved.
Gauthier was charged with two counts of distribution of a Class B substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws, according to police.
Hebert was charged with two counts of distribution of a Class B substance, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of a Class A substance, and possession of a Class B substance, according to police.
Gauthier and Hebert were arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court, authorities said.
